Building capacity in the Brazil nut value chain through peer-to-peer learning - 05/2018
In early May, USAID/Brazil partners IEB (Instituto Internacional de Educação do Brasil), Imaflora (Instituto de Manejo e Certificação Florestal e Agrícola) and the U.S. Forest Service (USFS) organized the third training module of the “FORMAR Castanha” course. The event was held at the Kanindé Institute, in Porto Velho, Rondônia, Brazil.
The highlight of the course was an intensive peer-to-peer learning among association leaders and the network established. Participants expressed the need for continuous capacity building (“Semear Castanha”) to strengthen and maintain the information and knowledge flow network.
