September / October, 2023 - Quintessa - a respected Impact Accelerator in Brazil -  launched the 4th edition of the Guide 2.5, a study about initiatives that develop and invest in impact businesses in Brazil. The study is supported by USAID/Brazil through the Partnership Platform for the Amazon (PPA), and offers a digital interactive platform for entrepreneurs to facilitate researching development enterprises.

The new version of the Guide recorded a 34% increase in the number of organizations mapped. When it was first launched in 2015, the Guide featured 11 mapped organizations, growing to featuring 58 in 2023. The initiatives listed also grew by 106%, increasing from 34 (2017) to 70 (2023). The complete material is available on the website.

The name “Guia 2.5” alludes to “sector 2.5”, a term that refers to “impact businesses”, because they adopt private sector practices (second sector), marked by financial sustainability and profit generation and non-profit organizations (third sector), marked by a focus on generating positive socio-environmental impact).
