Partnership for the Conservation of Amazon Biodiversity (PCAB)

Our Work

In 2014, USAID/Brazil signed a technical cooperation agreement with the Brazilian Cooperation Agency (ABC) for the creation of the Partnership for the Conservation of Amazon Biodiversity (PCAB). The objective is to support the conservation efforts of the Brazilian government in the region in a strategic way. It has three lines of action: Reinforcing the Brazilian government’s actions for the conservation of priority protected areas, support national policy for territorial and environmental management of Indigenous Lands, using Science, technology and innovation to improve biodiversity conservation practices.
