Message from USAID/Brazil Director Ted Gehr
Dear partners,
As the COVID-19 pandemic continues to grow and evolve daily around the world, I know these are unprecedented times that understandably result in increased anxiety. Since my arrival last August to Brazil, I have been extremely impressed with the level of dedication that our implementing partners have demonstrated to carry out our shared development and conservation goals in the Amazon. With the outbreak of COVID-19 in Brazil, I am now also witnessing how they all are rallying together in solidarity to confront this global crisis. I am truly proud to be a part of this great community of implementers and champions working to get through this crisis.
In these uncertain times, I want to assure you that USAID remains a steadfast partner. Our first and foremost concern is the health and well-being of our team and their families, our partners, the teams in the field and the communities and stakeholders with whom we work. We will continue to provide as much information and guidance as quickly as possible through our website.
