Earth Day 2019: Protect our Species

Earth Day is an annual event celebrated on April 22nd. It was first recognized in 1970, and is now coordinated globally by the Earth Day Network and celebrated in more than 192 countries each year. The theme for 2019 is Protect our Species.

In Brazil, USAID contributes to that goal through the Partnership for Conservation of Amazon Biodiversity (PCAB), with the Brazilian government, NGOs and the private sector. The objective is to support  strategic conservation efforts in the region and to promote a sustainable model for its development. Learn more here.
