Letter to American citizens on COVID-19
Dear American Citizens,
On March 19, the U.S. Department of State issued a Global Health Advisory Level 4, advising U.S. citizens to avoid all international travel due to the global impact of COVID-19. U.S. citizens who live abroad should avoid all international travel. U.S. citizens who live in Brazil should arrange for immediate return to the United States, unless they are prepared to remain abroad for an indefinite period. Be sure to check with airlines regarding any updated information regarding your travel plans.
We highly encourage all U.S. citizens in Brazil to enroll in the Safe Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) to receive security and health updates.
